Data Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the development of enterprise analytics platforms and data products within a modern cloud environment. This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable, end-to-end data pipelines that enable advanced analytics and business insights.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Azure-based data engineering, strong experience with large-scale data processing, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality data solutions in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and analytics solutions using Azure-based technologies
• Build and maintain ETL and ELT processes to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance for large-scale data ingestion and processing
• Utilize Azure data services for data preparation, storage, and analytics
• Automate repeatable data processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Partner with business and technical teams to gather and document requirements for data solutions
• Develop and present solution recommendations for data products and analytics platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, governance, and cloud engineering
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to iterative delivery of data products
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while supporting ongoing enhancements
• Adhere to data governance, delivery, and change management standards
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 10 or more years of hands-on experience in data engineering and enterprise data solutions
• Strong experience designing and building data pipelines, data models, and data warehouse solutions
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and modern data architecture patterns including medallion architecture
• Proven experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory
• Experience working with Databricks, Spark, and large-scale distributed data processing
• Strong programming experience in Python and data pipeline development
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering
• Ability to ingest and process structured and unstructured data from on-premises and cloud-based sources
• Strong problem-solving skills related to data ingestion, transformation, and validation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with data integration tools such as Qlik Replicate
• Familiarity with data modeling tools such as ERwin or ER Studio
• Experience integrating data from enterprise systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or ITIL frameworks
• Experience with tools such as ServiceNow or Azure DevOps
