We are seeking a skilled Field Experience Architect to partner with our Enterprise Mobility team. This role focuses on enhancing the capabilities of front-line workers through innovative mobile technology solutions. The Field Experience Architect will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of mobility solutions tailored for front line workers, ensuring that technology deployments enhance efficiency, safety, and service delivery in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Device Management:
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of rugged mobile devices suitable for diverse field conditions.
- Develop strategies for device security, including MDM solutions, encryption, and data protection policies.
- Field Services:
- Design and optimize workflows for front line service operations to leverage mobility for real-time job management, scheduling, and dispatch.
- Collaborate with front line teams to understand and address specific mobility challenges.
- Identity and Access Management:
- Ensure secure access to enterprise systems from the field, implementing and managing IAM solutions that are compliant with company policies and industry regulations.
- Application Design and UI:
- Lead the design and development of mobile applications with a focus on usability under field conditions.
- Work with UX designers to create interfaces that are intuitive for front line workers, considering environmental factors like sunlight, gloves, etc.
- Network and Connectivity Management:
- Develop network strategies that support front line operations in areas with poor or no connectivity.
- Manage bandwidth and data usage to ensure optimal performance of field applications.
- Data Synchronization and Integration:
- Architect systems for efficient data handling, including offline capabilities, data sync strategies, and integration with back-end systems.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement security measures tailored for mobile devices in front line environments.
- Ensure all mobility solutions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- User Experience Optimization:
- Continuously improve the user experience for front line workers through feedback mechanisms and user testing.
- Advise on training programs to maximize technology adoption in the field.
- Analytics and Performance Monitoring:
- Use field data to drive analytics, providing insights for operational improvements.
- Define and track KPIs related to field mobility performance.
- Innovation and Technology Exploration:
- Explore and pilot emerging technologies like IoT, AI, or AR/VR for enhancing front line operations.
- Keep abreast of technological advancements in mobility and assess their applicability.
- Workflow Automation:
- Identify and implement automation opportunities in front line workflows to enhance productivity.
- Scalability and Future-Proofing:
- Plan for scalability of mobility solutions as the organization grows.
- Develop technology roadmaps for future field mobility initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in IT, with at least 3 years focused on mobility solutions, particularly in front line operations.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing mobile architectures.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in mobile device management, application development, and integration technologies.
- Knowledge of network technologies, security protocols, and compliance standards.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on user-centric solutions.
- Ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional teams.
Preferred Certifications:
- Mobile Device Management certifications (e.g., AirWatch, MobileIron).
- ITIL or equivalent for service management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar.
Travel:
Willingness to travel to field sites to understand operational challenges firsthand.
