Who our client needs: Network Engineer (Network Smart Hand)
What you will be doing:
We are looking for a Network Engineer for a 12 month contract opportunity with a global company. The Network Smart Hand is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- The Installation/ Removal/Testing/Maintenance or troubleshooting of infrastructure hardware to include: Routers, Switches, 819’s/829’s, UPS’s, Riverbeds, Wireless Controllers, Wireless Access Points, Cabling, Racks, Patch panels.
- Project related tasks that have been approved by Infrastructure Lead: router or switch replacement projects
- The Network Smart Hand will work with End User Experience SDC to develop a schedule for visits
- The Network Smart Hand will be responsible for contacting the remote sites after the schedule has been developed
- Scheduling visits with remote sites
- Coordinating hardware replacement with appropriate network and remote site personnel
- Notifying site of possible down time or impact due to hardware replacement
- Providing weekly updates or as requested per project/activity
The skills you need to have:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer
- Experience with Installation/ Removal/Testing/Maintenance or troubleshooting of infrastructure hardware
- Ability to travel weekly-Monday thru Friday. 80{8188fd3e0c1b26f7e2356577bc5a46f4f9943c7fbac79b8f72c0c51f807faddc} of the travel occurs in the Ohio, Michigan, Penn, WV, IN, IL, TN, KY areas. 20{8188fd3e0c1b26f7e2356577bc5a46f4f9943c7fbac79b8f72c0c51f807faddc} is FL, TX, OK, LA.
Where the position is located: Travelling position, 100{8188fd3e0c1b26f7e2356577bc5a46f4f9943c7fbac79b8f72c0c51f807faddc} travel to multiple sites
Rate/Salary: Up to $45/hour based upon experience
