BLAN Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced BLAN Technician to provide hardware and infrastructure support for customers at
assigned field locations. This role works closely with other information technology specialists, integrators, and
supervision as applicable to ensure the computing environment, assets, and supporting architecture are reliable and
secure while also ensuring adherence to corporate standards.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and network issues, values strong customer
service, and can work independently to support end users in a fast-paced technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide on-site hardware and infrastructure support for end users at assigned field locations
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral hardware issues
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, hardware assets, and supporting network infrastructure
• Partner with IT specialists, integrators, and supervision to maintain a reliable and secure computing
environment
• Perform asset management activities including tracking, tagging, and lifecycle support of hardware
• Support local area network troubleshooting including cabling, switches, and connectivity issues
• Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests within established service level agreements
• Ensure adherence to corporate IT standards, security policies, and compliance requirements
• Document work performed, maintain accurate records, and update ticketing systems as needed
• Coordinate with vendors and integrators for equipment repair, replacement, and installation as needed
Required Qualifications
• 2 or more years of experience providing hardware and desktop support in an enterprise IT environment
• Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user hardware
• Working knowledge of local area network (LAN) infrastructure including cabling, switches, and connectivity
troubleshooting
• Experience with IT asset management and hardware lifecycle support
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with end users and technical teams
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple field locations
• Ability to travel to assigned field locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting industrial or operational technology environments
• Familiarity with imaging and deployment tools for desktops and laptops
• Experience working within ITIL-based service management frameworks
• A+, Network+, or similar technical certifications
