Windows Domain Architect

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OT Windows Domain Architect to support enterprise Operational Technology infrastructure and operations environments. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft System Center solutions, and Identity and Access Management within complex and highly secure environments.
The OT Windows Domain Architect will serve as the subject matter expert for Windows-based services across the OT platform. This individual will design, implement, and optimize enterprise domain architectures, lead modernization initiatives, and provide hands-on technical leadership to ensure stability, scalability, and security.
The ideal candidate brings strong architectural experience across Microsoft technologies, a deep understanding of identity governance and privileged access management, and the ability to support hybrid Windows and Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Windows Server and Linux infrastructure within secure OT environments
• Lead architecture and administration of Active Directory domains including forests, trusts, replication, and identity integration
• Develop and enforce Identity and Access Management strategies including IGA and PAM solutions
• Architect and manage Microsoft System Center solutions including SCCM, SCOM, and SCVMM
• Deliver configuration and patch management solutions across Windows and Linux platforms
• Perform root cause analysis of complex infrastructure issues and lead long-term remediation strategies
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable architectural solutions
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, operational procedures, and governance standards
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing across infrastructure teams
Required Qualifications
• 5 or more years of infrastructure architecture experience within IT or OT environments, with preference for OT experience
• 5 or more years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience across networking, compute, storage, infrastructure as code, configuration management, identity and access management, or platform development
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD or Entra ID, System Center Configuration Manager, and enterprise IAM and PAM solutions
• Experience with secure and immutable backup technologies such as Commvault, Rubrik, Avamar, or Veeam
• Strong networking knowledge including Cisco IOS, Arista EOS, SONiC, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RSTP, and enterprise firewall platforms
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, CloudFormation, Salt, or SCCM
• Familiarity with enterprise identity platforms including Saviynt, SailPoint, Oracle IAM, CyberArk, OneLogin, BeyondTrust, or Delinea
• Experience with highly available storage solutions including vSphere vSAN, CEPH, Longhorn, or similar platforms
• Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven experience redesigning or modernizing Active Directory domains and enterprise IAM architectures
• Experience integrating on-premises identity environments with Azure Entra ID
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to design and implement new technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leveraging AI-driven tools to accelerate troubleshooting, improve architectural design outputs, and enhance technical effectiveness
