Job Summary

The Workday Solutions Engineer is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of Workday applications to meet business and technical requirements. This role partners with business stakeholders, HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver scalable, efficient, and compliant Workday solutions across one or more Workday modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and deploy Workday solutions aligned with business requirements and best practices

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Financial Management, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Recruiting, Integrations)

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into system solutions, and recommend process improvements

  • Configure business processes, security roles, calculated fields, condition rules, reports, dashboards, and alerts

  • Develop, test, and support Workday integrations using EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, and APIs as applicable

  • Support Workday releases by analyzing impact, testing changes, and deploying enhancements

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on root-cause analysis and long-term solutions

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration workbooks, and operational procedures

  • Support data loads, conversions, and audits to ensure data integrity and compliance

  • Provide on-call or after-hours support as required (may include 24×7 rotation depending on environment)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday applications

  • Strong understanding of Workday architecture, business process framework, security model, and reporting

  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions

  • Ability to understand interrelationships between systems, data, and processes

  • Demonstrated critical thinking, urgency, and attention to detail in a real-time operational environment

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday certification(s) in one or more modules

  • Experience supporting Workday implementations or large-scale deployments

  • Knowledge of HR, Finance, Payroll, or Accounting business processes

  • Experience with Workday integrations, reporting, and analytics

  • Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing role
